Joanne Sitt joined the Board of Directors for the Center for Homicide Research in 2005.  Sitt is a very active community volunteer and is formerly a Manager in the Real Estate Department of Target Corporation.

Sitt brings a wealth of community and volunteer experience to the Center’s Board.  She is also a member of the Board of Directors for CORP, a social service nonprofit organization and Hidden Theater, an arts organization.

Sitt has been involved in many volunteer activities, including heading the Real Estate Department Adopt a Family programs at Target for a number of years.  She has also participated in various other volunteer opportunities including Meals on Wheels, Memorial Blood Bank, and Blankets for Babies.

Sitt is active as a mentor and sponsor for women who have been in difficult situations because of life choices and enjoys seeing their lives turn around as they go from being a victim to a survivor to a life participant continuing the circle as they mentor others.

Joanne Sitt began serving the Center in the role of Treasurer in 2011.

INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

The Center for Homicide Research offers one of the finest internship programs in the United States. Distanced-based electronic internships begin in Fall of 2020. Qualifying students come from undergraduate, graduate and law schools.
