Homicide Center researchers answer calls from surviving family members with varying needs. With the advent of crime and homicide television programs and public focus on crime scene investigation (CSI) and cold case investigation and prosecution, families have more interest and questions than ever before. Research staff can field a range of questions to help provide understanding of the investigative process, or to better understand what happened before, during, or after the homicide.
Researchers do not investigate homicides, but can review or interpret the work done by others. For best results, have the full name and date-of-birth of the victim, as well as the date of the incident, or of any human remains recovery.
